The brides.com web site contains Anne Chertoff’s item "Landmark Locations…Our favorite historic venues for your wedding ceremony and reception." The story includes Minnesota’s venerable Saint Paul Hotel with description and photograph, and places the property among some outstanding wedding places.

The Chicago Tribune’s online site has "Midwest Travel: Minnesota" with facts and a click to for ‘Twin Cities: Minneapolis and St. Paul’, with links to several major attractions as well as local resources.

Golf writer and blogger Joel Zuckerman’s (www.vagabondgolfer.com) recent visit to Minnesota earned three blog features on www.worldgolf.com (so far!); the first (9.9) "Brainerd Lakes is Minnesota’s ‘go-to’ golf destination," and "Big times at Minnesota’s Giants Ridge Golf Resort," (9.24) and the other, "Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort earns a Golf Digest award ranking," (9.25). This was Zuckerman’s second visit to Minnesota.

The September 23 Minneapolis Star Tribune carried "Art crawl set for western Minnesota next month," tells about the annual Meander event, which features several galleries and art places in a variety of upper Minnesota River Valley communities.

American Road’s annual "Fairy Tale Parks" issue (autumn ‘09) published a five page feature by Joel Arnold, "Bunyan Derby," in which the writer tells of his memories growing up in ‘Bunyan Country."

The St. Paul Sunday Pioneer Press September 13 ran a cover feature, September"Color Your World..For an eyeful of fall foliage, check out tehse 4 quick car trips," by Minneapolis writer Donna Tabbert Long. On September 20 the Pioneer Press Travel Section carried another cover feature, "Wine Country," by Trisha Collopy. The comprehensive story tells about Minnesota’s growing wine industry and related tourism opportunities.

Writer Ann Dimon, noted for her www.traveltowwellness.com web site, includes coverage of Wintermoon Summersun Adventures, Brimson as a "great destination for winter dog sledding and summer sea kayaking in the northwoods boreal forest." What she liked best was the "environmentally-friendly retreat lodge that uses wood heat, solar power, a hand pump for well water and organic gardens.

Another outcome from writer Marilyn Loeser’s summer visit is "Bemidji-Destination of Legend and Lore," which also includes Itasca State Park coverage as well as some neat info on the Ruttger family and Ruttger’s Birchmont Lodge, which hosted Marilyn.

The August/September issue of Food Network Magazine published a full color page "Minnesota State Fair," focusing on foods on a stick, with a photo of and recipe for ‘Walleye On A Stick.’ Yum.

GolfWorld magazine’s September 28 issue cover story is "Reader’s Choice Awards-Top 50 Public-Private-Resort..see who (readers) voted the best of the best. In the public category top 50, the Ridges at Sand Creek, Jordan was #33…congrats to Mike Malone! In the private club category’s top 50, Northland Country Club, Duluth, captured #21, Interlachen CC, Edina #41, and Hazeltine National, Chaska, landed at #43. In the top 50 Resort category, The Wilderness at Fortune Bay nailed #23-kudos to the Kemper Sports management duo at The Wilderness, Tom Beaudry and Leah Tomasetti!

The Outdoors Adventures television program, based in Nebraska but with a 13-state reach for the program, recently carried a feature on bear hunting in northern Minnesota.
