New paved segments recently connected the Lake Wobegon, Central Lakes and Soo Line trails in central Minnesota, creating a continuous network of 127 miles of paved trail for great biking. It is currently the longest trail in the state, and certainly among the longest paved bike trails in the country, running mostly along former railroad routes. The trail network travels through the countryside between Fergus Falls and St. Cloud, and passes through several quiet, small towns that recall the mythical Lake Wobegon of Garrison Keillor’s radio show stories.
